The prism lens actually lets me read the bearing while keeping both eyes open, which is way easier than squinting at a flat dial. The clinometer came in handy for estimating slope angle on a steep trail, and the floating dial stayed steady even when I accidentally dunked it crossing a creek.

Took this on a foggy ridge hike and the floating dial settled fast even when I was breathing hard. The clinometer actually came in handy for judging slope steepness before a sketchy descent. Solid metal lid snaps shut with a reassuring click.

The adjustable prism lens on this compass makes reading bearings while moving surprisingly easy, and the built-in clinometer is a nice bonus for measuring slope angles on steep trails.
